The more I watch him, the more I think he has sort of a wierd, co-dependent relationship with Jack, where his own existence is validated by serving under him. Weird looks, funny walking and swashbuckling aside, I don't think Jack Sparrow ever truly cared about Will Turner, Elizabeth or anyone else.
